See Testimonials on Google Places
I am a 49 year old woman who was treated this past year for Celiac- Sprue Disease. When I was looking for a nutritionist in Seattle, Angela was my first choice for many reasons. Angela paid great attention to details. She was particular about procedures being done properly and thoroughly. She was always pleasant and has a sense of humor that kept everyone smiling. As I got to know Angela, I began to realize the depth of her knowledge about nutrition, diet, exercise, and disease prevention to name a few, was superior. She has a strong desire to find different ways to help patients, especially women, be healthier and to solve difficult health problems. As a registered nurse for almost 30 years myself, I am impressed with her drive to find holistic, healthy ways to help our bodies heal and to prevent further problems. A great many women would be thankful in years to come for what she can contribute to health care (Peggy 7/10)
Shortly after my last phone conversation with Angela I saw my doctor and had another blood draw. EVERYTHING was lower. My triglycerides were down - a major drop in one month. My cholesterol was "almost too low" at 123. My A1C had dropped from 9.0 to 8.1. My doctor gave me a copy of the test results to 'take home and hang on my refrigerator.' I also lost 12 pounds. My husband says that my body is reshaping itself and I know my clothes are fitting differently. I either need to shop for smaller sizes or invest in lots of belts. I'm still gluten free and I'm loving it. I feel soo much better and feel like I'm continuing to "heal" each day. I wish I had worked with Angela decades ago.‎

I had the pleasure of meeting Angela this winter when I contacted her for nutrition and weight loss counseling. Throughout my lifetime, I have tried many different ways to lose weight and have always failed. With Angela's program I learned how to understand the food I eat and how my body works with this food. Angela did not restrict my eating habits but showed me how to introduce healthier things into my life. Angela taught me which foods encourage a healthier lifestyle and healthier living. She also showed me how to increase my exercise so that my body would work more efficiently towards my goal. Through Angela's program I stopped thinking about weight loss and began thinking that I was learning to change my life. To date, I am please to say that I have lost weight and continue to lose more. I truly do not believe I would have learned everything I did and feel so good about reaching my goals without Angela and her program. Angela is the utmost professional yet she has a touching compassion and dedication to her clients. I am thrilled to be able to say that I worked with her. (Sophia 6/10)
I approached Ms. Pifer to help my family become healthier. We felt this issue was very overwhelming - how do you cater to four people and provide healthy meal options? My wife was overwhelmed by having to cook more than one meal a night. She worked with my wife and I, and reviewed our two young children's eating habits. She provided meal plans based on all of our likes and dislikes (particularly our kids, who are picky eaters) and I must say, that the plans are easy to follow and really tasty. Our whole family likes them. My wife has lost ten pounds over the past month or so and we all have more energy. We are very impressed with the level of attention and commitment that Ms. Pifer has to her clientele. She made this process very easy! We highly recommend her! (B.T 6/10)
I feel amazing. Angela has been able to figure out what three other practitioners have not. She is a bit of a detective and took the time to help me figure out why I have been feeling this way. I have had IBS for 12 years. I haven't had any symptoms for the last 4+ months. I didn't know I could feel this good again and had really given into the fact that I wouldn't. I am so thankful that I found Angela and decided to work with her.(L.E. 6/10)
I can't stop talking about my experience with my nutritionist. I have been dealing with symptoms for years and just felt like this was how it was. She figured things out quickly and I feel better than I have in years. I didn't realize how good I could feel. I am amazed at how much she has helped me. Thank you Angela!(S.J. 6/10)
I was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and cringed at the thought of never eating gluten (bread!) again. I found Angela on the web and thought I better get some help at figuring out how to eat without gluten. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy eating gluten free can be. She showed me what I can eat, found replacements for all the foods I felt I would be missing out on and helped me address my other health concerns of inflammation, psoriasis and digestive issues. I am down fifteen pounds with five more to go and feeling better than I have in the last 20 years!(P.T. 6/10)
Angela has changed my life. I wish my doctor had recommended that I see a nutritionist, but then I don't know if he would have recommended that I see this specific nutritionist (I don't feel I would have experienced this level of results with anyone else). I needed accountability, a structure that was realistic and that I could do long term. I weigh less now than I did before I had my kids. I have kept the weight off for 8 months now (longer than ever before) and I know that this time my success will be long term. I am calmer, off many of my medications and I have learned to believe in myself - truly trust myself and my choices again. After 30 years of emotional eating, I didn't think that was possible. If you are ready - I HIGHLY recommend Angela.‎

Angela hasn't just shown me how to eat, she has taught me how to eat. I get it. I used to think it was willpower and now I realize that I was just going about eating and exercise all wrong (she would say 'some right and some that needs in improvement'). I felt like I was spinning my wheels month after month. If only we were taught this at an early age. I've lost 17 pounds over the past two months. The best feeling is that my family is starting to eat healthier too. I had to visit my doctor to have my blood pressure and diabetes medications reduced. My long term goal is to come off of these completely...I am well on my way. Don't wait another second, call Angela!(R.T. 4/10)
I have cancer and was losing too much weight. My ND referred me to a nutritionist. My clothes were literally hanging off of me and my energy was in the dumps. Through my (daily!) work with Angela, we had my weight stabilized within a week, she worked within my lifestyle and appetite level (which has been nill, do to my treatment) and offered me plenty of fast, convenient, tasty and healthy options. I am really blown away by the amount of time and energy she put in to help me. This has allowed me to stop worrying about my weight and get back to living and enjoying my little girl. I HIGHLY recommend Angela Pifer!

I have actually lost about 10-12 more lbs since I last checked in with you, so that's good!  I really appreciate how much you helped me learn some healthier habits, because it has enabled me to accomplish some goals that I was having a hard time with before. 15 year old E.R. (3/09)
"Here are a few (not all) things you taught me:
  1. Have a plan, think about it, shop for it, give it time to sink in and your mind will eventually adopt the new behaviors you are seeking.
  2. If you stray from your path, don’t despair – you don’t need to be lost forever in the Mint Milano Forest, just walk back to the path and continue, leaving the past behind.
  3. Find lots of good things to eat.  Be sure to try new things and sometimes add something to your meal that you can barely spell – like quinoa.
  4. Divide up your total calories into 3 pretty equal parts.  Thinking about eating 500-600 calories at each meal really helped me as I was “saving” 2/3 of my intake for late night dinner…you know the drill.  I really think that this new way of eating for me has re-set my metabolism.
  5. Find a great variety of activities that you love to do.  As someone is starting out – just get to the place where do you something active every day.  Walk, dance, practice yoga, bike, hike, job, walk stairs, park farther from the building.  For me – once I got over the hump of feeling like I MUST have a WORKOUT everyday, I found I was more open to simply being active every day.  Once you are active every day, you feel like doing more and more and every bit of that is better than doing nothing!
  6. Above all - Be gentle with yourself.  Forgive yourself.  Focus on what you are going to do TODAY." (S.N. 6/08)

“My experience with Angela has been life changing. I have lost 102 pounds and counting. I had given up thinking that I would ever lose this weight. It has taken work on my part, but now I know what to eat and I get to make the choice to be good to myself everyday. Angela gave me the support and the kind ear that made this happen. I give her all the credit and she gives me all the credit; we are quite a pair.” (B.L. 10/06)

"My work with you had a huge impact on my life and will be with me forever! Thanks for everything!" (A.M. 12/08)

"I started working with Angela when I was in a miserable condition and needed immediate help of the reliable professional nutritionist (I have not been satisfied with nutritionists that offered services on the office based visits; I needed a long term program and professional relationship with the nutritionist who could address all my needs). I signed up for a three-month program with Angela and started noticing positive results immediately. Angela is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing nutrition as one of the most critical, but not isolated components. She worked very hard on developing daily meal plans, which were tailored to my needs and condition. Angela educated me about digestion process, suggested necessary supplements, recommended other health practitioners, checked my progress on the daily basis and helped to treat not only the whole body but also mind. Like for many Angela’s clients, my work with her was life challenging, I finally know how to eat and manage stress, and thus how to live happily!  I look forward to working with her in the future, she is truly amazing." "I did want to send you a personal note thanking you for the extra amount of patience you had with me. It was wonderful to have you to go to with all my questions. Your help and advice was invaluable. I now know how to eat! You did a great job putting together menus - considering I am gluten intolerant and allergic to dairy, eggs and other specific foods….being hypoglycemic didn’t help either. I know from experience that it is next to impossible to figure out how to eat healthy and balanced in my situation. But, you did it! Thank you!!”  (C.D. 11/07)

"Ok, I have to admit, at first I thought you were crazy! I finally gave in and listened to you. I can't believe that I have lost twenty pounds and maintained that for two months...you aren't crazy and neither am I! Food is no longer my enemy....you rock!" (M.T. 02/08)

"After 40 years of emotional eating I am finally feeling like I am in control and not the food. I have lost 5 pounds and 2 inches off my waist and I'm not even hungry! I give full credit to you and your principles. Thank you for coming into my life!"
(R.P 05/08)

"Working with Angie has been life changing.  Her program is what you do when you are done dieting."  (J.M 08/07)

“After diagnosed (with Type II diabetes) I felt helpless. I can’t believe that I was told I would be on medication for life and after working with you for two months, I was taken off my medication and my blood sugars are normal.” (T.M. 10/05)

After 20 years of binge and emotional overeating: "Yes, it is much more motivating to actually see evidence of my efforts...down 6lbs....Hurrah!! This method of eating healthy as opposed to "dieting" has been a new approach so, I needed confirmation or evidence that it could work and it has!! I am happy to continue in this new approach because I know it is the answer to attaining my true weight - whatever that is. It feels good to allow my body a say in what it needs by listening to it rather than my emotions. It's not perfect at all times but at least I am aware, now, that cravings are not always about food." (C.B. 12/07)

“It is a great feeling to not be so hung up on food. It is just absurd that the diet industry has brainwashed the public when the truth is so simple. I have to say though, I can't remember overall feeling this good.  I am noticing so many changes.  And, to be honest, we (my husband & I) are actually having fun with all of this.  It is challenging, but I think we are doing it in such a way that sets us up for long-term success.”  (L. P. 01/06)

“I way less now than I did before I had my kids. I never thought this was possible. I can’t stop talking about my experience with Angela. She changed my life.” (S.K. 06/05)
